Everything begins with an idea. Many moons ago a decision was made to turn my craft into a business. Starting from cup decals, I didn’t have a desire to get into the t-shirt business. I wanted to be different due to market saturation. A friend of mine started a baby food company and trusted me to provide t-shirts for the photoshoot. Still not convinced that my creative thoughts would be parading around the city by people from all walks of life, I embraced it. December 2016, it happened. My thoughtful husband surprised me with a shirt he created for me to pair with some Nike Air Max 90s. On that day, I decided this is what I wanted to do. I contemplated on the name for awhile. Went back to the shirt I received. It was a simple shirt with my name spelled backwards: Icart. Well that wasn't a real good name for a business. So I began to say it over and over….I C A R T. Finally, I looked at the shirt and said “IC Art Designz”. PERFECT! Four years later…. here we are.
